World Steelpan Day Celebrations 2026
Pan Trinbago, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Community Development, proudly presents World Steelpan Day Celebrations 2026 on Tuesday, August 11, under the inspiring theme “Rhythm and Rise: Youth. Discipline. Culture. Community.”

This national celebration honours Trinidad and Tobago’s National Musical Instrument and showcases the extraordinary talent, discipline, and creativity of the next generation of pannists through a full day of performances, cultural activity, and community celebration.

The festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Massy Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra Panyard, featuring youth steel orchestras from across the country. At 1:30 p.m., the Ancestral Walk journeys through the streets in tribute to the pioneers of the steelpan movement, leading to the bp Renegades Steel Orchestra Panyard, where another vibrant youth showcase begins at 2:15 p.m.

The celebration culminates at 5:30 p.m. on the Big Stage at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain, with a spectacular evening concert featuring some of the nation’s leading youth steel orchestras in a powerful tribute to the past, present, and future of Steelpan.
