Pan Trinbago and Ministry of Tourism Celebrate Single Pan Band Winners at Prize Distribution Ceremony

Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – February 14, 2025 – The spirit of celebration filled the air as Pan Trinbago, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, hosted the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Single Pan Band Finals Category of Panorama 2025. The event, held on Friday, February 14, recognized the outstanding talent and dedication of the participating Steelbands and their contributions to Trinidad and Tobago’s rich musical heritage.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Senator the Honourable Randall Mitchell, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, alongside Mr. Videsh Maharaj, Permanent Secretary, and Mr. Martel Waldron, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. Also in attendance was President Beverley Ramsey-Moore , Pan Trinbago, Ms. Keiba Jacob Mottley, Chief Executive Officer of the National Carnival Commission, underscoring the collective commitment to celebrating and sustaining the growth of the national musical instrument.

Pan Trinbago’s leadership commended the Single Pan Bands for their resilience, creativity, and passion, highlighting their vital role in preserving the legacy of the Steelpan. The event served not only as a moment of recognition but also as a reaffirmation of the government’s and stakeholders’ continued support for the steelband movement.
