End-of-Year Message from the President of Pan Trinbago
Theme: Leaps Within and Beyond Bounds

Port of Spain – Dear Steelpan Family, Delegates, Officers, Staff, Corporate Sponsors, Members of the Diaspora, Friends of Pan from near and far, Members of the Media and most importantly, the custodians of this magnificent national musical instrument, the pannists themselves.

As we close another remarkable year, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt gratitude to each of you. By the grace of Almighty God, we have journeyed together through seasons of challenge, transformation, and triumph. Whether you perform on stage, lead in the boardroom, teach in a Panyard, or cheer from the audience, you are the heartbeat of Pan Trinbago, the lifeblood of this movement, and the guardians of our national musical treasure.
For the 2025-2026 period, under the theme “Leaps Within and Beyond Bounds,” we will embrace boldness, vision, and innovation. We will strengthen our roots, reinforcing governance, empowering Steelbands, and consolidating national pride, while also daring to go beyond boundaries, expanding our global presence, harnessing technology, advancing cultural diplomacy, and propelling the Steelpan into new spaces across the world.
2025 has been a defining year for Pan Trinbago:

This year’s achievements reflect collaboration, creativity, and commitment. They are the result of every hand that lifts Steelpan sticks, every child learning their first note, and every supporter keeping the flame alive. Together, we are strengthening the Steelpan legacy, uniting our community, and charting a bold course for the future.

Looking Ahead
As we step into a new year, Pan Trinbago remains committed to innovation, growth, and boundary-pushing creativity. We will continue to honour our traditions while embracing progress, ensuring that the Steelpan thrives across generations and nations. Our mission is clear: to preserve, promote, and propel the Steelpan, a legacy forged in fire, carried forward with love, and celebrated by all.
Conclusion: The Leaps and Bounds Ahead
To my esteemed Steelpan Family and members, as your President, I affirm with pride and conviction that the story of Pan Trinbago is no longer merely a story of survival, it is a story of ascension, of triumph, of cultural affirmation. Yet, we are only at the threshold of this new chapter. The leaps we have taken are stepping stones toward even greater heights, and the horizon before us is vast with promise.
In the coming year, we will:
• Further expand entrepreneurial opportunities for our musicians, tuners, and cultural artisans.
• Embed the Steelpan deeper into international festivals and cultural diplomacy.
• Advocate for the realization of our new Pan Trinbago headquarters, a home worthy of the movement it represents.
• Continue to safeguard the recognition, respect, and rights of our artform, ensuring that young people inherit a movement stronger than the one we found.

And so, I call on each of you not as bystanders, but as co-architects of this destiny to leap with us:

• Leap with faith.
• Leap with courage.
• Leap with creativity.
• Leap with the confidence that the Steelpan, born of struggle and triumph, was made not to be confined but to conquer.

Let us leap within to build, protect, and preserve.
Let us leap beyond to inspire, expand, and transform.
And let us leap together as one Steelpan family into a future where no boundary, border, or barrier can contain the rhythm of our national musical instrument.
The Steelpan belongs to the world, but its soul will always belong to Trinidad and Tobago. Together, let us ensure that its voice echoes across generations and nations without end.
